This is one of the things I've been working on. I started this painting four times, no lie. I think it improved each time. It's been a fun experiment, and really, I'm not tired of it yet. There is something I love about this painting. Maybe it inspires me toward the loose, free paintings of Karin Jurick, (love her museum paintings!) Maybe it's just the challenge of all the pieces fitting together, I'm not sure about the major challenge of painting faces...really, really tough! Anyway, maybe I should try it for a fifth time...I just keep learning and that's what it's all about! SOLD.
