Pysanky Eggs

Life has been so busy that I've not had time to breathe. Or paint. I have been doing some fun things such as a life drawing class on Wednesday evenings that I am loving. It's such a treat. And this past weekend we did Pysanke Eggs at my house. It used to be a yearly tradition, but it's so much work and such a big time commitment, we just couldn't fit it in for several years. I think it's important for Isabel, my daughter, to have the experience of learning Pysanke, which comes from my husband's Russian heritage. Donna, his cousin, taught Isabel her grandmothers own design. We had lots of fun creating these beautiful eggs. Happy Easter!
