More magical ornaments. There's nothing better than my early morning painting time. Just me, my coffee, my paints, my cat and my podcast. Today's listen was the Being Boss Episode #100 // Best of Being Boss. What a great idea to do a year in review podcast. Sure made me realize I've missed lots so now I have many podcasts I want to go back and listen to. Yea! They help you with defining your goals, setting your intentions, building healthy boundaries, and cultivating habits that will help you reach success on your terms. Who doesn't need to learn more about that?!? A great podcast!

A box of vintage ornaments just waiting to be hung on the tree in the perfect spot. It's time to start getting ready for the holidays with Thanksgiving just around the corner. It takes weeks to get ready for Christmas and it seems to fly by in an instant. Same with painting. Time flies when you're having fun. Always.

nostalgia

Why is it that Christmas from long ago seems like it was so much more calm, sentimental and romantic than the crazy holidays we experience now? I would love for a place, like maybe Macys, to be back in time for the holiday. For the merchandise, decorations, salespeople to be right out of It's a Wonderful Life. In my mind, of course, it would all need to be black and white because, as a child, I thought there were no colors in life during the "olden days." It's fun trying to create the retro colors on these antique Christmas balls. This painting is available SOLD.

Fun, right? This has been a great exercise for me to paint the same subject several times. Just amazing what you see and learn. Just the colors of the painting take me back to what Christmas felt like when I was young(er)! This painting SOLD. Cheers!
