Lately, I've been trying to start my paintings with some pre-mixed piles of paint. I think it's really helpful in keeping color continuity. I find it super challenging though, because when I have the time to paint I want to dive right in. I literally have to force myself to mix my piles before I begin. In addition to the color continuity, I think it's also good to take some time to relax and think about what I envision before I start. That's a good way to go about all of life, right? Take some time to think before you dive in!
