heyday

These three are definitely in their heyday.
heyday: A period of success, popularity, or power; prime.
What a fun term. I, for one, have not had my heyday as of yet. So looking forward to it! The best is yet to come. This painting is available for $65, unframed.

standing strong

So much fun. What a wonderful morning. I woke up early, painted, made breakfast and lunch for my daughter, drove her to school, went shopping at market for fresh fruits, veggies and painting inspiration! and now I'm starting my "real" day. Hope you have an amazing weekend! This painting is available for purchase, $65, unframed.

solitude

Painting from life. Something I rarely do but want to do more of. I intend to learn something about painting every day. My learning thoughts on this one were dimension…and color…and peace. This painting is available for $65, unframed.

A Beach Pear

While I was on vacation I had every intention of painting. I wanted to paint a pear, inspired by the video I watched while away (see previous post). One of my many new goals is to paint more from life, rather than from photos, which I do mostly for convenience. This is a pear that I bought while I was on vacation and brought along home with me. I am doing my best to focus on consistent small improvements, in everything that I do, rather than expecting great change all at once. I am reading a great book about this called The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson. Great positive reading. Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by to read my blog. This painting is available for sale, $45, unframed.

pear

I've been trying to work on creating a sense of dimension. I find it very challenging. This 4"x6" pear painting is done from a photograph. I think I really need to try another pear painting (probably dozens!) from life. I've been watching some wonderful videos by Sherrie Mcgraw at Bright Light Fine Art. So much to learn! Hope you have an amazing day! Available for purchase, $50, unframed.

still pear

This is one of the things I've been working on. A painting using what I learned at the Abbey Ryan workshop that I attended. I am focusing on painting from life and not a photo, light and shadows, warm and cool colors...this painting is 6"x6", $85. I'd love to hear what you think...
