adrift

adrift [uh-drift] floating without control; drifting; not anchored or moored my life :) It always feels that way, although, I guess it’s not really, at least not in some ways. Adrift can be lovely if you end up in a great place. On the other hand, always trying to control everything is a burden. Wonder if you end up in the same place either way. In that case, I’ll take adrift like this lovely boat…it sure looks happy! This 8″ x 8″ original oil painting is available, unframed, for $100.

Last night I listened to a podcast from Mary Gilkerson, and one of the things I took away was to mix my colors in advance. This way the palette is more cohesive, and you can paint without stopping to mix colors all the time. I tried it this morning and really liked it. I felt like I was in more of a flow. I am always searching for more flow in my life! If you are an artist, too, and haven't followed Mary yet, I highly suggest it. Very knowledgable. I love learning! Hope you have a fabulous Wednesday!
