finding joy

Joy and pink peonies are a perfect combination! I consider myself very fortunate to have something that I love to do that brings me so much joy. And my hope is that my artwork brings joy to everyone who welcomes a piece of my art into their home. I hope it brings happiness and warmth. There is really nothing better. Enjoy!

zinnias

Zinnias. As an artist I see painting inspiration everywhere and anywhere. Yesterday I stopped at a coffee shop and these beautiful zinnias were on the counter. I'm guessing I am the only person that day who stopped and took a photo to paint the next morning. So much fun, and they are beautiful, right?

reach

This is a demo painting from my first time teaching. I would love to add a teacher hat to the pile of hats I am comfortable wearing. It was really a fun experience. I painted this for the first hour and explained my process and answered questions and then she worked on a painting of her own. Oil painting is something that takes lots and lots an lots of practice and it's crucial not to let yourself get discouraged or impatient. I think those are the most important lessons that I learn every day as I paint.

I have been thinking about creating a painting workshop either in Lancaster or New Hope, PA.
